Dark Skin Treatment: Treat Dark Skin on the Back of the Neck

I am light complected and have dark neck. Also that is the first area that gets burned when I am outside. Help how I can get rid of this or am I always going to have to wear a color blouse?

Sometimes even people who have normally fair skin find that some parts of their body tend to get sunburned very easily. You seem to be suffering from this problem since your neck gets sunburned faster than any other part of your body. Since you are otherwise light skinned, this dark skin does tend to stand out and make you self conscious. You can try some home remedies to help you reduce the effects of tanning. This will help the skin of your neck look less dark and look closer to the color of your skin.


Neck Turning Dark: Remedies for Dark Neck

You can try applying lemon juice since this is known to aid bleaching of skin. You can use freshly squeezed lemon juice on your neck. This can be applied an hour before you have your bath. If you do not have the time to do this before you bath, you can also apply it at bedtime and leave it on overnight. Cucumber juice is another remedy for dark skin. Squeeze out the juice apply it on the dark skin for an hour at least. To make it more effective you can make a mix of two tablespoons of cucumber juice and one tablespoon of lemon juice and apply this to your neck. Applying slices of cucumber on dark skin is another remedy but this could be a little difficult since you would require placing these slices on your neck. Raw potatoes also have the ability to bleach skin so you can try squeezing out the juice from grated raw potato and applying this on your neck with a piece of cotton.

Mix one tablespoon of milk cream with a pinch of turmeric and apply on your neck. This will not only help lighten the skin but also keep it looking soft. This will need to be left on the skin till it dries. Using a little water rub it out of your skin. Use two tablespoons of gram flour and a few drops of milk to make a thicken paste. Apply this on your neck and leave it on till it dries completely. Wet your hands and slowly rub the flour out of your skin.  At night you can apply some skin nourishing cream on your neck and go to bed.  If you would rather use natural products, then you can try pure almond oil for best skin care. This can be massaged into the skin of your neck and left on overnight for best results. Follow these home remedies faithfully and over a period of time you will begin to notice a change in the colour and the texture of your skin.
