For the most part try to consume fresh and uncooked fruits and vegetables so that they do not lose their nutritional value and antioxidants. Vitamins A, B, C and E are all important vitamins for healthy skin and are abundant in fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are in fact the best source of healthy skin vitamins as compared to supplements.


In addition to good skin food it is extremely important to keep your skin well moisturized as this helps delay the development of wrinkles. Drink a lot of water throughout the day to keep your skin well hydrated. Fruit juices and milk shakes are also a great source of fluid as well as nutrition, while coffee and sodas should be avoided.


It is also important to keep your caloric intake under control as gaining weight and then losing it is one of the worst things for your skin. Extra fat stretches the skin and once this extra fat is lost the skin crumples and sags. The degree of damage to the skin caused be such a scenario differs, depending on the individuals age, quite obviously worsening as your grow older. It is therefore best to steer clear of a diet that is high in calories to avoid weight gain. This is one of the most useful tips for healthy skin that most people seem to overlook.
