Tips for Smooth Glowing Facial Skin

The first thing you should be aware of is that film stars do not have the kind of skin you see on screen and in print. For most part, the skin you see on them there is a result of excellent make up, strategic lighting and air brushing. It is hardly possible to have such excellently even skin tone and glowing fresh and healthy skin at all times. Once you accept that what you see is probably about 50 per cent of what actually is - you can make it your goal to achieve that 50 percent.

The first rule to achieve excellent skin is that you must get at least eight hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. It is called beauty sleep for a reason – it will add to the glow and beauty of your skin. And remember the maxim an hour of sleep before midnight is worth two after. Try to get into bed by 9 pm so that you will inevitably be asleep at midnight. This is as important for your skin as anything else. It is also important that you try and spend at least some amount of time outdoors, away from the stale and re circulated air of air conditioners and heaters. This will also add to the general health of your skin.

It is important for you to follow a daily routine of cleansing, moisturizing and toning before bedtime to keep your skin healthier and younger looking at all times. The best time to try all of these things is after a warm bath. This is the time when your skin is most receptive to all kinds of treatments. Milk is the best cleanser you can find for your skin. It will work dually – cleanse as well as moisturize your skin effectively. For moisturization, you can use pure olive oil. This is an excellent product and is known to have magical properties in taking care of skin. Your toning procedure would depend upon your skin type. For dry skin, use a toner that is alcohol free. For oily skin, you may use an astringent based one. Keep in mind that daily exercise is very important to your general overall health as well as the good health of your skin and complexion. Exercise makes you sweat, and while you are sweating, your pores open up and breathe freely. This is exactly the kind of circulation your skin requires to keep that all important glow into the scheme of things.
