Treating Body Odor with Body Odor Home Remedies

I generally sweat a lot near underarms. Can you please let me know what remedies can i use to stop excessive underarm sweating and body odor?

The first remedy to employ if you have excessive sweating in your underarms is to keep your underarm hair trimmed to a short length. You must be meticulous about trimming your hair every week in order to control the length of the hair. Some people have a tendency to sweat excessively, and having long hair in the armpits only manages to trap that perspiration and lead to aggravating the problem of body odor. Using anti perspirants is not usually a good idea, since their frequent use is well known to cause other related problems as well. Besides, if you have sweat glands, trapping sweat inside them will always cause more harm than good. It is better to use talcum powder to take care of at least some of the problem. Talc has the capacity to absorb sweat and leave your body drier. Of course, if you sweat frequently and even in cool conditions, then you would need to keep reapplying the powder. You should also avoid wearing clothes made of synthetic materials such as nylon and polyester. These will not allow air to circulate freely throughout your body and consequently, will also not allow the perspiration to dry up. This can only add to bad body odor. Stick to clothes such as cool cottons. Make it a point to never wear the same clothes again without washing. This also encourages bad body odor.

For bad body odor, you must know the simple and basic rule. You will always smell of what you eat. If you eat strong foods, your body will have a strong smell. In order to take care of removing bad body odor, you should avoid eating foods such as onion and garlic. These are the foods that give the maximum strong body odor. Eating meat is also a very large contributing factor in body odor. For a few days, you should avoid eating these foods and see what difference it makes. In addition, you can also add more of fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. This will help to clean out your pores and slowly, your perspiration will start giving off a less offensive odor. Herbs such as parsley and coriander are also known to contribute to reducing bad body odor as well as bad breath. You should also make it a point to drink lots of water. Though this may make you sweat more, it will dilute any foul smells as well.
