Silicone Scar Removal Treatment

Getting rid of scars completely depends upon the age of the scar. If scars are relatively recent, then you will be able to get rid of them more easily and effectively. If they have been around for a long time, you may not be able to get rid of scar at all. This is particularly true if they have been around for a long time. This is because by then, the scar has managed to penetrate the skin deeply and leave a deep scar behind. But you can try to work on them nevertheless. Even if you do not manage to get rid of them completely, you can certainly reduce the darkness and appearance of the scars in any case. Scars that have come up due to popping pimples are particularly difficult to get rid of because they usually also manage to change the smoothness and appearance of your skin. Because of this reason, they also leave behind dents and abrasions that are impossible to fill out except in really rare cases. If you have the kind of pimple marks that have denting of the skin’s surface, then you can employ the use of silicone gel for scars to help flatten out your skin in these particular spots. You can buy silicone in gel as well as sheet form. Both work equally well. Silicone is the only effective non surgical method that will work towards smoothening out the surface of your skin. You can deal with discoloration after the surface has been leveled.

For lightening your scars, the most tried and tested method is exfoliation and mild bleaching. You should make it a point to exfoliate your skin on a weekly basis. This will help with the discoloration and will, to some extent, also help with leveling uneven skin. You can use any exfoliating scrub available in stores. Make a choice depending upon your skin type, so that you can nourish your skin at the same time. For mild skin bleaching, you can add a few drops of lime juice to the scrub. This will also work towards sanitizing your skin. Hydrogen peroxide is also a mild bleaching agent and may be used on scars. But you must remember that immediately after you apply any bleaching agent, you cannot go out in the sun. This will only serve to darken your skin further. Also keep in mind that all of these methods work over time. Sometimes, you may have to employ them for months to see results.
