I have reoccurring blister like ulcers on only one of my feet. My foot peels and is very dry looking. The blisters pop and the sores are deep, and the fluid is clear sticky. What could this be? What should I do to treat open sores?

The description of blisters you have given could be caused by a variety of things. The first thing you would need to do is determine the cause of the ulcers on your feet. In order to do this, you would need to get a medical examination done. Consult a doctor and determine that what you have is nothing that requires any kind of serious measures such as surgery or antibiotics. In any case, if you are suffering from sores that are deep, you should not neglect this problem. If you do not want to consult a doctor, your next best option is to check the type of skin you have. From your description, it sounds as though you have extremely dry skin. In this case, you should take care to moisturize your skin effectively and properly to make sure that you do not suffer from such problems due to the dryness. Because you have open sores and wounds, you should use a moisturizer that also contains antibacterial and antiseptic properties. This will help to heal your sores as well.
The next thing you need to do is take care of your open sores. Once your sores open up, what you can do is apply a thick coating of turmeric powder to them. This will help with the healing process to a large extent, as turmeric powder has healing properties. As a matter of fact, you can apply a poultice made of turmeric powder, olive oil and rose water. All of these products will help you to heal your sores and will also provide relief from any pain or burning that may be accompanied with the ulcers.

You should also make it a point to exfoliate your feet. This can, however, only be done if you have no open wounds. You will also have to work gently around your scabs, if any. Use a mild exfoliating agent. You can pick one from any pharmacy or store. Make it a point to add a few drops of lime juice to your exfoliating agent in order to also sanitize your foot. To this effect, you can also add hydrogen peroxide. Exfoliation will ensure that your dry and dead skin is replaced with new and fresh skin continually. This will prevent flakiness and accumulation of dry skin on your feet. A regular routine of exfoliation and moisturization will ensure that you have healthy skin on your feet in the long run as well.
