How to Care for Oily Skin, Skincare and Acne, Oily Skin Care Tips

My skin is t-tone skin (oily skin), I have acne marks on my forehead and on the area near the nose - Please suggest me the treatment. How much would laser treatment cost in India.

Our skin becomes oily primarily when the sebaceous glands that produces oil in our body works overtime and produces more oil then is necessary. Added to this, if the dead skin cells on your face does do not fall off automatically and clog your pores, the excessive oil will have no outlet, leading to acne. You will, therefore, have to ensure that skin does not have clogged pores and that the oiliness of your skin is kept under control. For this, you do not need to go for laser treatment. You can take care of this at home itself; it will just take a little effort and time on your part.

To take care of acne, you can apply a paste of rose water and sandalwood powder. Since sandalwood has healing properties and rose water has cooling properties, together they will help to control and cure the acne. To take care of the acne scars that are already present, the best cure available is aloe vera gel. Apply this on the affected areas every night before going to sleep. The properties of aloe vera will heal your acne, as well as lighten the resulting scar considerably. Another remedy that works on the scars is a mixture of milk cream and almond paste. You can also make a paste of one tablespoon yogurt, half a teaspoon gram flour, and five drops of lime juice. Apply this to your acne marks and leave it on for 15-20 minutes, before washing it off with warm water.

To take care of the oiliness of your skin and to subsequently prevent clogged pores, you need to make it a habit to exfoliate your skin on a regular basis. For this you can use the facial scrubs that are available in the market or else you can make the facial scrubs at home yourself. The scrub that works extremely well on oily skin is a mixture of coarsely crushed walnuts and unflavored yogurt. Rub this mixture, very gently, on your face. This will help to exfoliate the dead skin and open the pores. Once the pores are open, they will be able to breathe and throw out the toxins more easily. Another remedy that will help to control the oiliness of your skin is face pack made up of unflavored yogurt, powdered orange peels, and lime juice. Apply this pack to your face at least once a week. Leave it on till it dries and then wash it off with warm water.
