Lighten Skin Complexion, Dark Skin Complexion, Natural Skin Lightener and Natural Skin Mask

My skin has become darker. What are the homemade recipes to maintain natural complexion?

You have not mentioned whether your dark skin complexion has turned darker over a period of time or whether it is a recent occurrence. If it has happened over a period of time the reasons could be stress and tension or intake of certain medications due to prolonged illness. If it is due to stress, you will need to work at eliminating the stress causing factor. If it is due to medicines, there is not much that can be done, as long as the medication is on. If, however, your dark skin complexion has become darker just recently, the simplest reason could be over exposure to the sun which has lead to a lot of tanning.

Whatever the reason, you can lighten skin complexion and work on bringing back your natural complexion by following a routine of basic skin care and maintenance. The first order of the day is to wear sunscreen lotion whenever you go out of the house and in the sun. This will at least stop your skin from tanning any more. Another thing that you must do is exfoliate your skin on a regular basis. For this, take one tablespoon of sugar crystals and mix it with one tablespoon of olive oil. Rub this mixture gently into your skin till the sugar dissolves, and then wash it off with lukewarm water. You an also make a paste of powder made from dried orange peels and yogurt in equal measure. Apply this to your face, wait till it dries off naturally, and then wash it off with lukewarm water. If you want to convert this paste into a scrub, you can add a few coarsely ground walnuts to it. Orange can function as a natural skin lightener and has properties that help in lightening the skin color.

To remove the darkness of the skin, the best solution is to apply aloe vera gel and leave it on every day. Rub grated raw potatoes all over your face in circular motion for at least 10 minutes. This too will help in lightening the skin color. You can also prepare a cream that is made of milk powder, almond oil, honey, and lemon juice. All these ingredients should be in equal proportions. Massage this cream into your face for ten minutes before washing it off. Alternatively, make a face pack of coarsely powdered oatmeal, tomato juice, and unflavored yogurt. Apply this to your face and leave it in for 30 minutes before washing it off with cool water. All this will help to restore your natural complexion but over a period of time.
