Red Bums and Anal Itch

I’ve got a problem in my bum area - I have not told my local general practitioner about this red bums issue because I’m too shy so I don’t really know what it is: The bums are very itchy and there’s a lot of reddening.

In order to obtain a suitable cure for your condition of itchy red bums, it is important to know exactly where your redness and itchiness lies. If you are feeling anal itch that is itch particularly in your anal area, there could be a variety of reasons for this. It could be that you have not managed to clean yourself properly after a bowel movement and any left over stools are causing the itchiness as well as the redness. Do not be alarmed. This is a fairly common problem. In order to take care of it, you should avoid using toilet paper to clean yourself. A better option is to wash the area with plain water after a bowel movement and then pat the area dry with toilet paper if desired. This will ensure that you do not have any particles left behind. Another reason for your problem could also be that you have managed to pluck out a hair growing in the area. This would also be a cause of discomfort as well. What you can do in this situation is that you can apply oil or cold cream to the area to help with the itching and redness.

Itchy Red Bums and Treating Hemorrhoids

There is also the possibility that you have developed hemorrhoids. This would be ruptured nerve endings due to excessive straining. Hemorrhoids are generally caused due to excessive straining, weight lifting, after a delivery or hard stools. If you have any of these problems, you should be able to determine if you have hemorrhoids as well. But in order to get an accurate diagnosis, it is important that you consult a doctor. Once you know that you have hemorrhoids, then you can set about treating them properly. There are several ways to ensure that you do not aggravate your hemorrhoids. One is that you should eat a diet rich in fiber. This will ensure that you have smooth and soft stools and will prevent the straining that can cause hemorrhoids. You should also make it a point to take a cup of hot milk before bedtime with a tablespoon of castor oil added to it. This will ensure that you have a good bowel movement, thus preventing straining. To provide relief from the itchiness, whether you have hemorrhoids or not, you can apply witch hazel to the area. This will help you greatly in healing as well. You can also apply a concoction made of rose water and fresh, unsweetened, unflavored yogurt. This will cool the area and prevent itching as well.
