Get rid of age spots on face and how to get rid of face spots on skin

How to get rid of age spots?

Age spots are primarily caused due to exposure to the sun over a very long period of time. The spots most commonly appear on the face, back of the hands and sometimes the exposed areas of the feet. Only your body can get rid of the age spots. This is done by the regenerative process that the skin goes through; therefore using therapy that encourages this is the best way to go about it. One the most obvious solutions are the use of creams meant for age spot removal. These creams contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids, which are derived from fruit and dairy products. When applied topically these AHAs break down the cellular biding mechanisms in the upper layers of the skin or the epidermis. Thus causing, the dead skin cells that have built up to be released and the regeneration of fresh skin cells.

The next solution that you can try to get rid of age spots is the use of retinoids. Retinoids are a synthetic derivative of vitamin A. vitamin A is an important nutrient for the body as it helps accelerate the exfoliating process of the skin and just like the action of 'AHAs' it helps accelerate the development of fresh skin cells. Retinoids are an active ingredient in most skin care creams that are used to treat wrinkles, age spots and scars.

Creams that contain retinoids or AHAs are available in almost all drug stores, however if you feel that your problem is severe then you can consult a dermatologist who will prescribe a skin cream with a higher proportion of one these ingredients. If you do not want to use skin creams then you can also try one of these solutions at home for getting rid of age spots. The juice of the aloe Vera plant is well known for its skin healing properties and is also available in a gel form (at a drugstore). Apply either the juice or the gel directly to your skin once a day for a period of about two months for a noticeable effect. Avoid going out into the sun after immediate application. Castor oil is another remedy that you can use to treat and get rid of age spots. Apply the oil to your skin and then massage your akin for a couple of minutes. Both these remedies will take time and proper application to take effect, hence give it a month or two before you expect any noticeable results. Soft tissue augmentation is another age spot treatment that uses the help of animal collagen (injected in to the skin) to boost the cells reconstruction process.
