Natural Blackhead Treatment, Homemade Blackhead Remedy, Over the Counter Treatment for Blackhead

Do you think that by washing my face and trying to remove my blackheads with soap and sugar is safe and effective? Thanks!

Black heads develop due to the clogging of pores on the skin. Generally they occur on the nose, forehead and chin. If left untreated they eventually scar the skin. The medical name for blackheads is known as comedons. When treating blackheads make sure to not scrub your skin excessively as it can cause further irritation instead you can use a mild anti-bacterial soap or facial scrub to remove the dead skin cells. Also remember to avoid oil based make up as far as possible and use cosmetics that carry a non- comedogenic (water based make –up).

Apart from natural remedies you can also use certain over the counter solutions that are as effective. Tretinoin is a derivative of vitamin A and is commonly used to treat acne outbursts. It does this by reducing the stickiness of the oils and also helps remove the foreign material and bacteria from the clogged pores. Thus reducing the inflammation and curing the outbreak but, make sure you do not use an excess amount as it can be irritating to the skin. Benozyl peroxide is another blackhead remedy that has antibacterial properties along with this it also reduces the level of the chemical reaction that changes the lining of the hair follicle. Thus it helps clear out the blocked follicles. However these medications should be used in moderation and are more likely to have certain side effects as compared to the remedies mentioned below.

As a home blackhead remedy, sugar is safe. It is effective because it has anti- bacterial properties that help clear out the acne. To carry out this remedy you will have dissolve some sugar in warm water and then add a little olive oil to. Another remedy that you can try is oatmeal. Apply cooked lukewarm oat meal onto your face like a mask and leave it on for about twenty minutes. Carry out this remedy daily in order to yield results. An alternative to the mask is using uncooked oatmeal mixed with water until it forms a paste and then apply it to your face. Aloe vera is also a good remedy for blackheads and can be directly applied to your face. This is available in a gel form in stores or you can extract the gel from the plant itself. Lemon juice is also great remedy for curing acne or blackheads. Lemon has anti-bacterial properties that helps kill bacteria and also restore the normal ph levels of the skin.
