Home remedy for boil and Home Cure for boils with home treatment for boils on skin

What home remedies are there for boils?

A boil is a localized infection situated deep in the skin. In order to combat the infection the body sends white blood cells through the blood stream. Once these white blood cells reach the abscesses, the centre of the boil softens and forms pus underneath the boil head. The pus contains protein, the white blood cells, and the bacteria. Boils can be caused due to a number of reasons. These reasons include inner grown hair, foreign objects that are stuck in the skin or sometimes due to clogged sweat pores. Home treatment for boils (mostly) is very simple and the most common form of home remedy for boil is the application of a hot pack or a hot soak. The application of heat to the boil increases the amount of blood circulation. Thus, more antibodies and white blood cells are bought to the site of the infection; allowing the body to cope with the infection faster. Another common form of treatment that is used in conjunction with heat application is antibiotics. But the uses of antibiotics are not always recommended and are not used in all situations. They have a slight difficulty in entering the outer wall of the boil and hence cannot cure the boil independently. They are generally prescribed if you have the boil drained surgically.

If the boils are very large and painful then you will have to have them surgically drained. For this, you will have to consult a doctor who can advise you on the best way to go about it. There are a couple of home remedies for boils that you can also try if you feel you do not need to consult a doctor for your problem. Take powdered cumin seeds and mix it with a little water to form a paste. Apply the paste over the boils and leave it on for a small period of time. The cumin will help burst the boil faster and also help in fighting off the bacterial infection. Another home remedy for boil that you can try is beetel leaves. Boil three or four of the leaves in a pot of water until they are soft and then add two drops of castor oil. Take the leaves and place them over the boils. Turmeric is also a useful remedy for home treatment of boils. You will need to take about four spoons of roasted turmeric and mix it with water to form a paste. Apply the paste on the boils and leave it.
