Natural Skin Cleansing Treatment

Our skin contains millions of microscopic pores and a very large number of sweat glands that help in eliminating toxins and regulating body temperature. These pores also contain the sebaceous glands that secrete sebum which keeps the skin moisturized. These pores and sweat glands often get blocked with dirt and grime at the end of the day and proper skin care is extremely important to keep it clean and glowing.

Natural Skin Cleansers:

  • There are ample resources right in your kitchen and refrigerator that are splendid natural skin care cleansers. Cleansing the skin is essential to keep it healthy. You should cleanse your skin two or three times a day for dry skin and three to five times a day for oily skin. Since many cosmetic face washes are harsh and contain various chemicals, you can, make your own skin cleansing products.
  • Fresh milk is a brilliant skin cleanser. Dip a ball of cotton in milk and apply it in an upward direction. Any cream or lotion needs to be applied with upward movements too. Use oatmeal mixed with milk and honey as a facial cleanser. Rinse it off with cold water and you will feel refreshed. Use rice flour and yogurt or gram flour and yogurt to cleanse the skin. You can also squeeze a little lemon juice, which is an excellent natural skin cleanser into the mixture for added cleansing benefits.
  • You may use witch hazel extract, which is readily available in most drugstores. Combine one cup of witch hazel with two tablespoons of alcohol or white vinegar. This natural skin cleansing lotion is an excellent astringent and is very useful in cleansing, healing and soothing.
  • Mix honey and nutmeg and apply this mixture on your face and wash it off after 15-20 minutes. This facial cleansing tonic is very valuable in healing scars that have been caused by skin eruptions or acne. Use this treatment at least twice a week for quick results.
  • Clays like kaolin and fuller’s earth can be mixed together with rose water and applied on the face. Wash with cold water after it dries. This is effective in cleansing oily skin and also removes dead cells. A paste of turmeric and sandal wood powder is an effective, natural face cleanser for oily skin. A sliver of lemon sprinkled with salt is an effective exfoliating agent.
  • A face mask made from cucumber, mint leaves and yogurt is a good natural skin cleansing agent. You may prepare green tea or peppermint tea and use it to cleanse your face. Use a blend of essential oils of lavender, hazelnut, and chamomile as a moisturizer at bed time. Leave this on overnight as it will help to rejuvenate your skin and will also help to prevent wrinkles and blemishes. In addition to this, drink plenty of water to eliminate toxins and include vegetables and fruit in your diet for beautiful, healthy and smooth skin.
