Hair Care Home Remedies:

Hair Care – Who says you have to spend thousands on toiletries and beauty salon bills to show off a shiny mop of hair? Instead, rummage through your kitchen and put together some of these time tested homemade hair treatments and breathe life back into you’re stressed out hair.

Natural Hair Remedies –

It doesn’t matter what condition your hair is in, these simple home hair remedies have an answer for everything, be it dry hair, frizzy hair, damaged hair, or simply the urge to rejuvenate the once lustrous shine you sported. Identify your grievance and adopt the corresponding hair tips and home hair treatment.

Dry Hair

Dry hair doesn’t retain enough moisture and oil. As a result it looks brittle and dull. Dry hair could be a result of exposure to sun, over processing, exposure to harsh chemicals or poor diet. The easiest solution for dry hair is a hot oil massage:
Heat half a bowl of coconut oil (or olive oil). Massage this warm oil into the scalp, coating hair from root to tips. Let the oil soak into the roots and scalp for at least half an hour before washing.

Frizzy Hair – Frizzy hair absorbs more moisture than normal hair. This causes hair cuticles to frizz. While you can control frizz with commercially available beauty products, most of them contain strong chemicals that only harm your hair in the long run. Why not try the following home hair treatments to tame the frizz instead:

  • Mix one part olive oil with one part mayonnaise and one egg to make a moisturizing hair mask. Apply the paste on your head, coating hair strands and let it set in for at least thirty minutes before shampooing
  • Similarly, mash a ripe banana and an avocado together. Massage the paste into your hair. Be sure to coat hair thoroughly. Again let the paste set in for 20-30 minutes before washing off.

In addition to these hair tips, be sure not to over strain your hair. Avoid excessive shampooing, hair drying, and brushing.
Oily Hair – If the sebaceous glands on your scalp secrete excess oil, you’ll suffer greasy and limp hair. However, a few simple homemade hair treatments will help you get along:

  • Squeeze out a lemon in one cup of warm water. Apply this solution to your hair and let it set in for at least twenty minutes before washing off. This solution will help decrease sebum secretion and reduce oiliness from hair.
  • Apply a carrot puree to your hair. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, and then rinse.

Weak Hair – Harsh environmental conditions like fluctuating temperatures and pollutants, excessive processing all leave the hair weak. Try the following home hair care treatments to get your hair healthy again:

  • To strengthen hair roots, mix an egg with a ripe mashed avocado and apply the paste to scalp. Let the mask sit for thirty minutes before rinsing off with cold water.
  • Massaging Aloe Vera gel into your scalp helps prevent hair loss, as does an olive oil head massage.

Hair Conditioning – Hair conditioning treatments rejuvenates hair and restores its natural vibrancy. Using these homemade hair care solutions, you can sport beautiful, soft, healthy hair.

  • Mash an avocado. Add an egg yolk to this and form a paste. Apply combination to hair and leave for 15 minutes before washing off
  • Directly apply half a cup of mayonnaise to damp hair. Let the mayonnaise set in for about half an hour before washing off

Dandruff – Dandruff is a result of excessive dead skin flaking off from the scalp. This is a very common condition. Fortunately there are simple ways to solve this problem:

  • Apply a mix of one part vinegar to one part water and apply to the scalp. Leave in the solution for about twenty minutes before washing off
  • Massage scalp with warm coconut oil and leave overnight. The following morning apply lemon juice to the scalp and hair after 30 minutes

In addition to these home hair solutions, be sure to drink at least eight glasses of water every day and eat well balanced meals.
