Hair Blonding, Hair Highlighting, Blonde Hair Color

I'm a natural medium brunette, with long hair, blue eyes and pale skin and would love to go blonde, but which shade of blonde will suit me best?

In order to go with your kind of skin coloring and eye color, you can opt for several shades of blonde that would range between golden red and metallic gold. Which color hair blonding you would choose would ultimately depend upon the kind of look you wish to project. It would also depend upon the kind of hair you have. For instance, if your hair is straight, there are colors that would look better with it than if it is curly. Generally, lighter shades of blonde go very well with straight hair. The darker the shade you pick, the better match it would make with hair that is wavy or curly.

If you have straight hair, one of the shades that would look particularly sleek with your overall combination of skin and eye color would be ash blonde. This is a cool and quiet color that would offset the color of your eyes in particular. Another color that would go well with straight hair would be light blonde. The traditional blonde shade will go very well with your eye and skin shading as well. If you have curly hair, you should opt for shades of deep gold. The color deep gold would look very striking with your eye and skin color combination. Gold would also look excellent with your kind of coloring. Another shade that will enhance your features and bring out the blue of your eyes would be titian. This is a particular mix of red and god, which is very rare in nature and is almost impossible to achieve when you use dyes. However, a seasoned professional would be able to acquire this for you quite easily.

If you want to start small, a more effective way to see how changing the color of your hair looks is to streak it. Since you have a brunette hair, you would have to change your hair color to a shade of brown before you apply gold streaks to it. Once again, depending upon your hair type, you can decide which shade will look better with your hair. If you are coloring your hair for the first time, you should not try to do it yourself. No matter what the carton of hair color available in the market says, professionally dyed hair is always a better looking option than trying it yourself. A professional salon would also offer you the option of computer imaging to see how you would look after the job was done, which is always a good bet.
