Dry hair can look just as lifeless as oily hair and turn flaccid and seem unmanageable. Dry hair can be a result of too much exposure to the sun, exposure to chemicals in styling products, bleaching, coloring, or the use of electric appliances like curlers and dryers. There are certain natural hair care products for dry hair available right at home, which revitalize dry hair.

Beauty Tips for Dry Hair

  • To begin with brush your hair well, especially before going to bed to stimulate blood flow and increase the natural flow of oil from the sebaceous glands. Massaging your scalp and hair with warm oil will be effective for dry hair. You can use olive, almond, or coconut oil. You can leave it for an hour or two before washing or leave it overnight to lubricate and nourish the scalp.
  • Some of the products for dry hair can be made at home. To prepare your own hair oil, take one part of milk and two parts of oil and heat it on a low flame on a pan. Allow the milk to boil well until brownish sediment is left at the bottom. Strain and use the oil to massage the hair. The oil content from the milk is also added which will add more oiliness to the hair.
  • Massage castor oil to enrich the texture and volume of hair. You can apply mayonnaise and wash after five minutes.
  • Mayonnaise is an excellent natural hair conditioner.
  • Whip an egg with two teaspoons of almond or olive oil and apply this well on the scalp and hair. Leave it for an hour and wash well with an herbal shampoo. Always use an herbal shampoo with acacia concinna, basil, Indian gooseberry, and soap nut. For the final rinse, use coconut water which is an effective conditioner. Try apple-cider vinegar with water or baking soda with water in the last rinse to make your hair shiny.
  • There are certain beauty tips for dry hair to follow for greater results. Try to avoid blow dryers, and allow your hair to dry naturally. Always use good quality mild shampoos and conditioner so as not to strip the hair of natural oils. Try to avoid too much exposure to the sun. Use a hat or hair sunscreen to protect the hair. Trim the hair slightly when split ends appear.
  • Wear a hairstyle that will need less styling agents and it is easy to manage. Eat foods rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals that will provide needed nutrients through the blood stream to the hair.
