Rough hair remedies

Rough hair can be quite a problem as it not only looks dull can be very hard to style. The best way to smoothen out rough hair is to keep your hair as healthy as possible by eating the right food stuffs. Fish, beans, eggs and meats all contain protein which helps keep your hair well nourished and hence smooth. However it is important that you keep this up for at least six months in order for it to be effective.

A lot of times your hair becomes rough and dry due to an excessive build up of styling products in your hair, like hair spray and mousse. Therefore it is necessary that you wash you hair out after using these products, by washing it with a clarifying shampoo. Mix a spoon of baking soda with your shampoo (1:2ratio) for better results. Make sure you condition your hair after every shampoo and when your drying your hair remember to gently squeeze the moisture out it rather than rubbing it down as the friction from rubbing your hair tend to damage it slightly. Finally when going out, remember to wear a cap off some kind as excessive exposure to the sun tends to dry your hair and make it rough.
