I am 31 year old man, my face is so oily and has become dark, what should I do to get fair and oil free face skin?

You need to follow a regular routine of skin care that will help to get the darkness as well as the oil off your face. You can start with tackling the oiliness, and since the darkness came along only after that, chances are that it will go away without you expending too much effort. You should first and foremost switch to a soap that has been especially formulated for oily skin. This will help by removing the excessive quantities of oil from it. Make sure that you use good quality soap as some of the soaps meant for oily skin tend to leave the skin dry and flaky. You should also follow a nightly routine of cleansing and toning your skin. This is very important, since the products you use will work all night on improving your skin. Start with cleansing your skin using a light cleanser meant for oily skin. After this, apply a thin coat of a gentle astringent on your face and throat. Remember you don't want a color difference between your face and throat. You will notice a remarkable difference in the quantity of oil that appears on your face in the morning. Keep up this routine for excellent and continuing results.

The next thing you need to check is your diet. If you cut back on oily food, you will notice a difference in the texture of your skin over time. Try to check and see which meals contain a lot of oil. You can start substituting oily snacks with fresh fruits. This will make a positive difference in the general health and texture of your skin. You should also try to drink large quantities of water, as this will help to balance out the oiliness of your skin. Besides, drinking a lot of water is generally an excellent tonic for the skin in itself. If you can, try to include a daily exercise session into your daily schedule as well. Exercising causes you to perspire which helps to flush out the pores of your skin. This will also help to get rid of excessive oil and a lot of other toxins that may be present in your skin. It will also add a glow of general well being to your face. In about a month if you do not see the darkness fading away, then you can start adding a bit of lime juice to your astringent. This will take care of the darkness, but it will take a little bit of time. Please do not try and use this method during the day, as lime juice is photosynthetic in nature and will react negatively when exposed to sun and your skin will darken even further.
