For a healthy skin that will look good for years, you will need to take care of yourself regularly. This treatment is a long term one but will ensure that you always look good and that your skin always glows with health. The way to a healthy skin begins with eating right. Your diet should include healthy food items like raw fruits and vegetables, whole grains and food that has a minimum amount of salt, spices and oil. Regularly eating green vegetables will keep you looking good. You should make it a point to drink water through out the day, not matter what the season is. Eating fruits is very good for your skin too. Fruits like papayas, apples are especially good for your skin. They not only keep you healthy but also keep you looking good. Consumption of aerated drinks, sugared fruit juices and tea and coffee should be kept to a minimum. Sipping warm water with honey mixed in it in the morning is good for the skin. You should also ensure that you replace honey in all your drinks and food items and use it more often that you use sugar.

You can use a spoonful of milk cream mixed with some turmeric on your face. This not only keeps your skin looking supple but also gives it a glow. You can also make a face mask using two tablespoons of gram flour, a pinch of turmeric and a tablespoon of milk. Mix these well together and use them on your face regularly. Orange peel can be dried and stored. When you need it, simply grind some and add a little milk or water to make a smooth paste. This can be applied on the face. You can also use a spoonful of ripe papaya as a very effective face pack. Simply mash it a little and then apply on your face. Wait till it dries a little before washing if off.

You can also mix three tablespoons of rose water, four table spoons of glycerin, half tablespoon of honey and one teaspoon of vinegar and use this to cleanse your face. You should wash your face regularly and remember to wash off your make up night. Ensure that you get plenty of sleep and that you get some regular physical exercise. A stress free life can make your face glow and you should practice meditation to remain tension free. Always remember to keep your face protected when you go out. Use a hat or else wind a scarf around your head.
